Motorcycle Parts By Mail

Well I've given up trying to deal locally for my motorcycles ailments. The only place near me I have not tried is the H-D dealership and we all know why that might be. The indi shop I got the carburetor from was closed up on Friday and Saturday and I just can't figure out when he is there. No, I'm not going to quit dealing with him but you know if I ride out and he's closed and the phone goes unanswered then I'm wasting time. There were a couple of rides going on over the weekend so I'm guessing he was on one of those. That's cool because I know I've seen his shop open late at times so he deserves some well needed down time.
I can almost hear what he'd say about the parts I need as I heard it from the others and the prices at most were fairly high.

That said, I have several catalogs from different suppliers but the best price of them all came down to Jireh Cycles. So I sent an email about sending an order by mail but they have not replied back yet. In the mean time I checked them out with BBB and they have an A+ rating so I feel better from that standpoint. Their prices are so good that I felt it best to check before cutting loose of my hard earned coinage.

I've been on some forums and reading about other people having a tough time finding what they need for the same types of Motorcycles.
This whole searching for parts thing gave me yet another idea for a sure fire can't loose business; only that old operations fiances and fundage rears it's ugly head. Me though to my self "Hmm, you could fold your other little deals your doing into this one and have a nice little gig going on." Oh well, it was a cool thought but I'm no finance wizard and can't pull money from my maximus like some start ups can. It must be I aim to high. But dang it, if I were able to get one of these off the ground I'd be having a balls to the wall good time with Parties at the Tuck Yourself Inn for all the employees. Dern, why'd Uncle Malcolm F have to leave.
Just hope my email gets answered soon.

What independent shop did you try? I know of a place in Burlington, a little hole-in-the-wall that supposedly can get just about anything. Let me know & I will get their number.

Hi Wooley,

As usual I like your down-home blog. Thanks. I left you an award over at my blog today. I hope you can stop by, pick it up and display it.

Regards to you and write on!

I would look on the WWW for places that specialize in Sportys. There are a few out there. They usually have more than a ‘general’ parts store.

If it pays for gas, parts and smokes, then it’s worth further contemplating.
