Know What Peeves Me Off?


I had pages and pages of one of my stories on my computer before it crashed. When we redid the whole system it had to be done with upgrades. Well, My story is there as I found it but the format program is not the same. So I have a list to choose from. I can convert the page to read it but I can't print, edit, move or do anything with it. Microsoft says I'm not licensed to use the program as it has expired. So if I want to get in to my own work I have to purchase the right to use the program that I already paid for in the beginning of getting this computer. Is it right for Microsoft to hold my work hostage like that? Maybe there is a way but my nerves are just a t a d bit frazzled still.
