Man injured in motorcycle wreck

A Whitsett man who was riding his motorcycle just outside of Burlington, NC on Saturday, was flown to Duke University Hospital for head injuries sustained in the crash.

Lawrence Theodore Sisk, 42, will probably be all right according to N.C. Highway Patrol Trooper R.E. Fort. "He had some injuries to his head, but I don't think it was life threatening," said Fort.

The Highway Patrol received a call at 12:44a.m Saturday about a wreck on Bellemont-Alamance Road near Dr. Pickett Road. Sisk was Life Flighted to Duke where he remained Saturday Morning for monitoring. Troopers believe that Sisk was riding east when he lost control on a curve, struck a ditch and flipped several times.
