Don Knotts has Died

Barney:
"Well, I guess to sum it up, you could say, there's three reasons why there's so little crime in Mayberry. There is Andy, and then there's me and [ patting his holstered gun] baby makes three."

Barneys' reply to one of Andys smart ass comments:
"You're a riot, you know that? Why don't you go some place and have it?"

I guess you could say that Barney was as much a part of our lives than anyone else I can think of. I, like many others, grew up with old Barn. His antics and actions still seem fresh and I never tire of watching them. There just isn't any show on Television that could ever hope to match it.

Barney once expressed his biggest fear: "Swept into the dustbin of history--Exit, Barney Fife."

Nope, old Fast -gun Fife will never be swept into the dustbin of history--And neither will Don Knotts.

Who could not have loved him. I remember the shows (age) and I remember always laughing. One of my favorite movies is the Incredible Mr. Limpett movie---one of the reasons why I got my PADI scuba license (really!)--I wanted to be Lady Fish HA! When he was on 3's Company John Ritter & him would be a good team of laughter. Dennis Weaver passed too. All those Gunsmoke, Laugh-In, & Mayberrys'....I miss them...I remember when the remote control was one of us kids. Good memories of the times and of him. Thanks Wooley.

"You've got to nip it, nip it, nip it in the bud. Nip it, nip it, nip it in the bud. You know you've got to get a life and say goodbye to Barny Fife, nip it, nip it, nip it in the bud." -Somebody Sang It.

Yeah, I'll miss Barny too.
