Support Our Men and Women of the Armed Forces

Listening to the radio today, the republicans were blasting the democrat's for wanting troop withdrawal and the democrat's are calling the republicans war mongers.

With all the arguing aside, we must support the troops no matter what. They are not just pins on a board to be removed when one dies. These are our friends, neighbors and loved ones over there who eat breath and have dreams just like the rest of us. These troops deserve our full respect for putting it all on the line every single damned day this war drags on.

What ever your view is of this war, those brave men and women are fighting and dying to give each and every one of us the right to bicker and argue and disagree. The freedom to speak that which we think is correct. We all can sleep at night in our warm beds, go to a movie to dinner or whatever it is we all do. If it were not for these brave souls doing their duty 25 hours a day 8 days a week; just how much freedom would we all still have anyway.

What ever your take is on the whole situation, the fact of the deal is whichever party you support, we should all thank the Armed Forces for what they are doing. Like it or not, if not for them all, we would not be enjoying the freedom we have over here.

I'm proud to be an American. Just because I want a peaceful solution to the whole ordeal does not make me any less of an American.
Just remember this to my friend. Those soldiers fighting over there, a lot are Republicans and Democrat's working side by side and watching each others backs. They do not have the luxury to say which party is right or which one is wrong. They are just trying to stay alive and make it home.

Thanks to all three of you.
I have had three friends over there so far and two have returned home safe and sound. The third was to come home last October from his last email and I have not heard from him since. He is an only child with both parents deceased so we just don't know.

You would think that everybody would have learned something from Vietnam. Somehow it all became the SOLDIERs fault and they were treated with the upmost disrespect by both the government and the American peoples.
Now it all is happening again. Our current government wants to reduce Veterans benefits just at the time they will need it the most.
Soldiers come home who have died and the funeral has these protesters jeering and name calling during the funeral. That is just totally un-called for. I don't care from which political side you are on.

Good words, Wooley. Freedom is not free and support of those who sacrifice for us is essential. God Bless each and every one.

Good on Ya for joining the Patriot Guard Riders too.

You are correct Grumpyunk, freedom is not free but comes with a price. Whether we want war or not, we are in it and that can not be changed.

Thanks for the Kudo on the Patriot Gaurd.
