The Diesel Powered HDT Motorcycle

Here is a link to an interview about the HDT Diesel Motorcycle I wrote of in a couple of posts ago. Originally the purposed civilian release date was for 2006 but it looks like 2010 is the projected date now. If you want to get 110 miles per gallon and up with a 670cc motorcycle then you just have to check this out. Just imagine a four gallon tank and 110 mpg, that has a huge WOW!!! factor of excitement in my gut. What about you?

At first glance I was like...stupid. Wow! 100+ mph, better torque and similar performance...actually better between 2000 and 4000 rpm. Wow. Too bad it's not a Harley and I'm gonna guess that it's going to be around 40k in price, maybe more.

Thanks for the pointer. This is pretty cool.

FLHX Dave, It could be up in the pricey side at first but I wouldn't think that high. Royal Enfield has been toying with Diesel bikes for awhile and are now producing some in smallish numbers.

Hey Webster World, I digg those mileage fiquires to and the fact that you are not stuck with just one type of fuel. Hell, you can run the same engine on several fuels with no mods. But if it came down to me being stranded out of fuel but had a full bottle of J-D...Guess I'd just have to be stranded.
