Saying Good Bye

Here I am sitting at the Hotel washing a load of clothes. Last week I arrived to visit my mother who is dying. She is at the Medical West Hospital in Bessemer Al and they have been giving her the best attentiveness care of anywhere I have been. The Doctors and staff have been such a caring lot I can't even begin to convey my thanks to them.
When I arrived and first saw here in ICU she woke up and looked directly in my eyes and said to me "OHHH, I love you, I love you ,I love you; please hold me oh please hold me. It's been so long." I am so glad I was able to come see her and put all the stuff behind me.

It's hard right now.

I’ve been expecting that phone call for some time. It can play hell on your soul. Peace Bro.

Right now... it's the hardest part. I understand all to well what it's like watching your parent slip away. But for me, I was glad to be a part of it. For some reason, it helped me with the closure, and I hope it does for you as well.

You take care Wooley... be strong. ((Hugs))

Dearest Wooley, I am so so sorry to hear your pain. She got to say I love you to you though. Take that with your heart. I hope that hearing those words will help you with everything you cope with the rest of your life. Love you too and am praying you and your family get through this time.

My thoughts are with you and your Mom right now. Do what you need and we will be here.

Take care, friend.

Kt Did,
Those words you speak of helped heal deep old wounds. I struggled with going to see her but I am so, so happy I did and I would have regretted it the rest of my life had I not. The reaction from her seeing me and hearing what she said moved mountains thought unmoveable. I'll never forget those words. Thank you for the prayers.

Ken,
Thanks Ken for keeping us in your thoughts. At the moment I'm not sure what I need to do but I have come to the realization that life is oh to short and I have worried and wasted to much time on things that don't matter. Forgiving somebody is tough to do and it is hard. But if it's easy then it isn't real forgiveness.
