Yamaha XS650 Alternator Removed

 See this tool? It is a must have to remove the alternator. The internal threads go on the shaft in the last picture.

 Here is the alternator removed. Don't lose the half moon shaped shaft key. Of course in my progress I failed to get pictures of shaft key. Nore did I get a pic of the tool in use. Okay, So I suck.

 Here is the picture of the inside of alternator. Dare I say this one is shot? Look at all the rust on there would ya. This was keeping the engine locked up but good.

Here is the shaft end from whence the alternator was mounted. The larger part of shaft is threaded for the removal tool.
