Blistered Bottom Ride 2013

Sponsors? We ain't got no stinking sponsors.

For those who rode with us before, they have all stated they are ready for another ride.  Now I know that on some forums there was talk about the "Blistered Bottom Ride." Some just didn't get the satirical meaning of the whole ride and tended to poke a little fun at the whole thing. We knew we would have some ribbing about it and that was kinda the point, at least folks were talking about it. We got ribbed for the mileage - it was low -, we got ribbed for the pace because we weren't hell bent to get some where fast and furious - we took our time and enjoyed the scenery -, no dead lines - no pressure to be at any point at any given time - we got there when we got there, no huge over priced parties - we camped when we got tired and shot the shit - and just enjoyed our trip.
We took the back roads and side roads and stayed off the interstate for ninety percent of the trip and our whole mission was more in lines with the Weasels Motorcycle club which is all in fun really. The goal meet new friends and old ones and just ride and hang together while enjoying the time. We welcome riders who wanted a more sane experience of the motorcycle and the back roads and the views.
This is the second annual - well, not really 2nd annual because we missed a year there but who's counting - so we are calling this the second running of the Blistered Bottom Ride. By laws forth coming but maybe not, probably more like probably not. But who knows, we could take a vote and change that law if we had laws which we do not. There are already enough laws to be broken so why do we need more laws nobody is going to abide by any way. Besides, all that stuff takes up time when all we really want to do is just ride, eat, drink coffee and bull shit. Our rides a great for newer riders who want to get some road time without all the added pressures because we only ride as fast as the slowest rider is comfortable with.
You don't want to end up like this guy?
   Then ride with these guys.

I think any amount of riding can result in a 'blistered bottom" it all depends on the seat v, riding position v. padding on the bottom.

It is great that you get out there and ride and help the newbies out.

Dear Wooley:

I couldn't agree with you more. There are rides for those who need to go fast or need to go far. There are rides for those who crave the corkscrew aspect of twisting mountain roads. And there arrives for folks who just want to take their time and have a good time at the same time. I wish I could go with you guys maybe next year, if you'd have me.

Trobairitz,
Hard seat and Blistered Bottom, ahhh, know this one well. Talcolm (sp) powder helps though.

We accept anyone as long as they have no superior attitudes. To many new riders start out with riders who have ridden more and tend to forget the new/er rider is still getting the feel for it. They sometimes feel pressured to keep up with more experienced riders and that is when the accidents happen by riding beyond their skill level. You have to learn to walk before you can run.

MQ01, oh you bet it is, come see.

Jack Riepe,
Sure you can come along, just because your a Beamermite is no reason we can't camo your bike.
Really though, we don't care what motorcycle brand or size you ride as long as it will do at least 65. Not that we will do a lot of 65 but you need the extra power for gear and hills.

Can't wait Wooley. Anyone wanting to join us is more than welcome. I can honestly say that the last ride was one of the best weekends I have ever spent on two wheels. The curves, the friends, the pace of the ride, the camping, the whole experience was great. Thanks for making it happen bro.

Kernal Clink,
It was a good time and we enjoyed having all of you along. Of course, we never did learn why Pee wee is called, well, PeeWee.

Remember the last night we camped at the Camp on the river? They sure had preconceived notions about our rag tag crew didn't they. But we all turned them around and they were nice hosts.
